The album was first made available to purchase for download on 17 August 2009, through the web site Gogoyoko, with 10 percent of the proceeds being donated to the non-governmental organisation Refugees United.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=gogoyoko - Fair play in music )〕 The full European release followed on 24 August, and the North American on 22 September. As indicated by the title, some of the album's songs partly and informally rework melodies and lyrics from known pop songs.
